Better Word is a vocabulary-learning app. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can delete it. We don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.
What's collected depends on how you use the app:

| Sign in with Google or Apple | The name and email address your account provides, so your progress is saved to your identity instead of just a device. |
| Answer onboarding questions | Your stated profession/industry and how often you struggle to find words — used only to personalize which words you see. |
| Use the app day to day | Which words you've seen, saved, or answered correctly, and your daily streak — this is what makes review scheduling and personalization work. |
| Enable notifications | Your device's push token, used only to deliver reminders and review prompts. |
| Subscribe to Premium | Your subscription status and renewal date. Apple or Google handles your actual payment details — we never see or store your card information. |
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

| Supabase | Stores your account and learning data in a secured database. |
| RevenueCat | Manages subscription status across Apple and Google. |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Process payments and, if you choose, handle sign-in. We never receive your payment card details. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the images used in the app's vocabulary content — not your personal data. |
| OneSignal | Delivers push notifications (like review and streak reminders); receives your device's push token and app account identifier so notifications reach the correct device. |
None of these providers are permitted to use your information for their own purposes beyond providing this service to us.
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account from the Profile screen, this happens immediately and permanently: your profile, learning history, saved words, and streak are all removed from our database at once, with no recovery period.
Better Word is intended for general audiences learning English vocabulary, and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is used, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
